Pack like an expert.

You’ve read lots of packing guides, but none of them included all these.

Our Unique Recommendations

  • European Adapters

When most cruise ships were built, most of our electronic devices could only handle 110v or 220v, but not both. Now most can handle either, you just need a different plug. With an adapter, you can use more plugs in the room.

  • A magnetic shelf full of small toiletries

    Magnetic Shelves

Add extra shelf space in the tiny cruise ship bathrooms with some magnetic shelves! They easily hold small toiletries, and can be used anywhere in your cabin, not just the bathroom!

  • Reusable Straws

Cruise lines have mostly eliminated straws onboard their ships, and if they still have them, they tend to be those gross paper ones that everyone hates. Make a statement and have a better experience, all at the same time.

  • Magic Shell (or other toppings)

You can find free ice cream on most cruises, but toppings can be hard to come by. If the cruise line allows you to bring your own drinks, they will probably allow you to bring your own toppings. Also works for bringing marshmallows for hot chocolate (or ice cream)!

  • Travel Hangers

You can get extra hangers on request, but if they run out, or you just want to carry some extra for before or after the cruise.

Let us explain

Check out our video to hear us explain more about our signature items, and some of the more standard items to bring with you.

Cold Cruising Recommendations

  • Thermal Underwear

You definitely need to bring layers if you go anywhere cold. These are great for going out, or just lounging around. They’re thin enough to fit under your clothes, but they add a much needed layer of warmth!

  • Vests

I love a good vest for Alaska, it helps you layer, and the pockets in it are good for carrying your Seapass or wallet.

A nice dress vest is easy to pack, and makes you look great on formal night, without a lot of effort!

Classic Recommendations

  • Magnetic Hooks

A classic for cruising, for good reason! You can hang things all over your room with these, a 4-pack is enough for most people.

  • Luggage Tags for making sure your luggage gets to your room

    Luggage Tag Holders

Don’t let your luggage get lost before your cruise even starts! All luggage generally makes it on the ship, but the paper tags can come off if not handled carefully. These are reusable, so you’ll probably only need to buy 1 set for life!

  • Keep your card safe with a lanyard

    Lanyard

If you don’t have pockets, or want something more handy for your room or ordering drinks, a lanyard makes it easy to access. Get one with a “lobster claw” so if you can punch a whole in your card, you don’t ned the carrying pouch.

  • Hanging Organizer

A great way to organize a lot of toiletries in a small space, and have easy access by hanging it on the door of your bathroom!

  • Multi-USB Charger

Charge all* your devices at once, only needing one US outlet! Older ships have fewer outlets around the room, and you can leave the individual chargers at home.

*Assuming you have 4 devices or fewer.

  • Your Own Drinks

Check your cruise lines rules around bringing your own drinks, but plan to bring sodas, wine, or whatever else is allowed. This can save you a few bucks, and you can usually cool your drinks your room’s small refrigerator!
